Trials and Joys of Weight Loss...

After my weight loss surgery, I came home the next day and was on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. Let me just say, this was the longest two weeks of my life. After a week, I was emailing my dietician asking if I could please eat a little scrambled egg or something because I was hungry. She told me no because my stomach needed to heal but encouraged me to drink protein shakes to fill me up and to help my energy level. I was allowed to eat sugar free jello and popsicles at this time but that wasn't cutting it to make me feel satisfied. I made it through and was allowed to start eating soft proteins like egg or cheese. That first bite of cottage cheese was just heavenly and I survived on that and refried beans for quite a while. I can't eat cottage cheese now because I burned myself out on that! I was gradually able to add more foods after two more weeks until finally I could start eating "normal" again. Normal now consists of proteins and veggies. No carbs are allowed in my diet. I have to drink 64 oz of fluid a day, no snacking and three meals a day. I'm making it work though and lost weight steadily until the last couple of months. As of this writing, I am down about 135lbs. It fluctuates by a pound or two each week. Unfortunately, I have sabotaged myself by allowing carbs back into my diet. I love sweets which is my biggest downfall. I have been eating different desserts and even have allowed a little bit of bread products and fried foods come back into my life which is a big no-no. I just don't know how to break this cycle I am in right now. They say it takes about 2 weeks to get over the carb cravings and I haven't made it a day yet. If I don't stop it though, I won't continue to drop weight and I still want to lose about another 80lbs.  I need help.
