Bachelor #3 was a nice enough guy but he wasn't ready for any kind of commitment. In fact, the more I talked to him, he wasn't ready to even be dating so I question why he was on an online dating site. He was a cute guy and we had some good talks but he's no longer in the picture. Bachelor #4 is a sweet man who I still chat with occasionally but he was so nervous the first time I met him, I wasn't sure how to make him comfortable. We met for coffee and he seemed interested but he has never officially asked me out on a date.
Bachelor #5 became a short term relationship. He is a really nice guy but a little young for me. Ok, he's only 4 years younger but they say that boys don't mature as quickly as girls. He has one child and is the primary caretaker for him so it made dating difficult. We dated for about a month but I wasn't much of a priority in his life so I finally felt like I had to end this one. It was hard to do but it was for the best. We are working on being friends now after a break of not speaking.
Bachelor #6 is a nice guy who I thought would be a good friend. He pretty much told me up front that he only wanted to be friends and I was fine with that. We met for a drink and talked for like 3 hours. He then got back together with a girlfriend and stopped talking to me and ignored me until he started having problems with this woman again. I tried to give advice and be a good listener but when the time came that I needed a male's perspective on a relationship I was in, he wasn't really there for me. I decided I wasn't going to continue on with this because friendship should be a two-way street.
Bachlor # 7 was my first visit to crazy land. I talked to this guy online a few times and we met for coffee at Starbucks. When he got there, he couldn't remember my name and just acted like an idiot when we ordered our coffee. He started out the conversation with saying "I told you I live with my parent's, didn't I". My response was of course "NO". He proceeded to tell me about his psychiatrist and all the pills he takes daily. He also told me that he was missing an AA meeting so he could meet me. I really wanted to just jump up and run but I felt bad that he was missing his AA meeting so I let him talk for 2 hours!. They guy was a nut and luckily, I think he got the picture that I wasn't interested.
